About

I'm Julian Osorio, a Colombian-American designer, educator, and creative director specializing in branding, environmental graphics, and experiential design.

I believe our experiences are shaped by how we navigate our physical and digital environments and how we see ourselves and our cultures reflected in the visual language surrounding us. With over a decade of experience creating comprehensive branding campaigns, environmental graphics, wayfinding systems, and user experiences, I bring a clear design vision that blends strategy, creativity, and deep cultural awareness. My background is shaped by the two places I've called home, Colombia and the United States.

As a Design Lead and Director at Studio Osorio in Philadelphia, I act as a trusted partner with clients and professionals across multiple allied disciplines. Throughout my career I have worked collaboratively with architects, planners, landscape architects, interior designers, project managers, and writers. Working on behalf of institutional, public, and private sector clients, I lead the design of brand identities, environmental graphics, and wayfinding programs for parks, public spaces, higher-education campuses, and corporate workplaces of all scales. My projects span a range of contexts, from developing brand campaigns for World Aquatics and Stanford Arts, to creating immersive experiences for Pepsi and Texas Tech, to implementing wayfinding systems for new public spaces in Baton Rouge and Philadelphia.

Beyond design, I'm passionate about mentoring the next generation of interdisciplinary designers. I've taught architecture students at Boston Architectural College, landscape architecture students at RISD, and currently graphic design students at MCAD – sharing my expertise in UX, animation, illustration, and visual storytelling.
